We’re mentoring four young architects of the future. Kim Sankey is working with four third-year students from UWE Bristol as part of a scheme managed by RIBA. The programme provides practical preparation for undergraduates in their career and personal development.
Angel Architcture is guiding the complete repair and renovation of a fine Grade II-listed Regency house near Charmouth.
Scaffolding is coming down after the re-building of one chimney and reinstatement of another on this Grade II cottage. It has a new thatched combed wheat reed roof covering and new joinery throughout. The whole project will have taken less than a year from appointment to completion. The secret to this seamless process was the booking in of trades at the time of purchase, the clients put down a deposit with the thatcher, the joiner and the kitchen manufacturer to ensure a smooth transition from granting of consent in August to discharging planning conditions and Building Regulations approval in October.
