After a week in Yorkshire, no traffic, no stress and no IT, we are back at work with renewed energy, eager to overcome new and existing challenges. We have had our own share of COVID infections with staff self-isolating and working from home. With all of us at AAL double vaccinated we are better able to hit our targets.

By the end of August we aim to submit an application for planning permission and listed building consent for the repair and alterations to a Grade II listed cottage dating from the C17. The proposals include the remodeling of the first floor which has modern partitions and the conversion of a C20 workshop to provide an annex for home working. The team met at the C16 Mapperton Manor House (Grade I) and Gardens for a working lunch in the converted C17 Coach House, which received Leader Grant Funding (European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development). This is a fantastic resource and a great events space and venue on a par with Manor Barn at Symondsbury. The Practice has projects in Netherbury, Broadwindsor and Corscombe so this was a central location to all 5 sites.
