What we’re up to this month – February

Last month we submitted two planning applications for unlisted buildings, one in a conservation area in North Chideock, Dorset and another bordering the historic deer park of East Coker in South Somerset.  These together with an appeal for a new garden room to a Grade II listed residential care home in Sherborne comprised a good start to the New Year. Welcome to Kiera Fitzsimmons and Martha Titcombe our Year 3 RIBA Interior Architecture students from UWE.  Under the Meet Your Mentor scheme, which we are proud to support, we will be showing them what it is like to spend a […]

What we’re up to this month – January

It is with some trepidation that we return to work – now in Tier 3 – everywhere is shut down again, but we are open for business and working flexibly, socially distanced in the Glass Bubble which I now call the office. With the two vaccines we can hope that 2021 will see us emerging from the yoyo lockdowns that have become the norm, stronger and more agile than before. Wishing all our clients and colleagues, surveyors, engineers, ecologists, garden designers, building control partners and planning consultants a very Peaceful New Year. Testimonial for North Cadbury Neighbourhood Plan “We needed […]

What we’re up to this month – December

What are we looking forward to most this Christmas?  Getting everyone their planning permission before the holiday starts.  Making positive changes, moving house, reducing travelling time, working from home in the New Year and keeping it local.   Scaling back on the festivities, even picnicking on the beach for an alternative Boxing Day lunch if we can find and unwrap all the accoutrements in time.  Acts of love will have to suffice this year, home-made presents and decorations with some carefully selected background music and candles. Wishing all our clients, colleagues and suppliers a very Merry Christmas and a Peaceful New […]
