As my second summer working at AAL comes to an end, my departure for university feels bittersweet as I am deeply grateful to start the final year of my Part 1 qualification with valuable experience, however, I am going to miss the working environment. July News

Such a lot has happened this past month. We have designed two outdoor kitchens to swimming pools, one submitted for planning and one in the pipeline.  This is surely a sign that staycations are becoming the preferred way of relaxing and socialising. Many new enquiries have been generated through the website, our colleagues in GTH and also from existing clients so we are as busy as ever.  The most rewarding community project we are currently preparing for planning is the installation of solar car ports for Bridport Town Council as part of their commitment to the Climate Change Emergency.  We […]

What we’re working on this month: August

Pictured above: Rose Cottage in Wootton Fitzpaine, photographed in the 1930s We have now achieved Listed Building Consent and Planning Permission for Rose Cottage in Wootton Fitzpaine (pictured above), which requires sympathetic improvements by the new owners. We also have two exciting new commissions. The first is to prepare an application for Listed Building Consent for the former Alcove Hotel on Marine Parade in Lyme Regis. The second is to prepare a second application and appeal against refusal of Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent for Tarrant Ruston House.

What we’re working on this month: July

We’re pleased that the Grade II listed Georgian house and cottage near Charmouth are finished. The house, divided into three flats, and the separate cottage are now on the market. The planning application for a Grade II farmhouse and outbuildings in Ryall have been submitted. The aim here is to create extra accommodation by converting old buildings and also make some improvements to the main house. And we have a new project in Charmouth – a modern bunglaow built in the 1970s with panoramic sea views but needing remodelling and updating.
