We have now lodged planning applications for The Old Post Office in Walditch, and scaffolding goes up early this month on The Alcove, at Marine Parade in Lyme Regis. Work on this property will consist of joinery repairs and repairs to the lead flat roofs.
Work continues on Tudor House (above), which was the core of the former Tudor House Hotel, subsequently divided into four dwellings in 2002. The works include the reinstatement of the kitchen at ground floor level, and works to remove the unsympathetic alterations and materials,
The basement has two 9 metre long beams which support the floors above, spanning front to back. The entire rear elevation is timber framed, dating from C16, refashioned in C18.
