‘Those who cannot change their minds, cannot change anything’ George Bernard Shaw.
It is important as an architect to be flexible and considerate of the impact of development on others. Our local environment is so precious that we need to be very sensitive to incremental change. This requires us to demonstrate our willingness to work with all parties in an open and collaborative process.
Sometimes the facilitator of change and sometimes the sounding board for clients needing an options appraisal, it is never boring working in this field. Ultimately the most rewarding part of the job is the realisation of all the hard work often years later, when a building is complete or a neighbourhood plan made.
