Such a lot has happened this past month. We have designed two outdoor kitchens to swimming pools, one submitted for planning and one in the pipeline.  This is surely a sign that staycations are becoming the preferred way of relaxing and socialising. My first week at Angel Architecture was a very busy one, but the collaborative nature of the office environment made the work both manageable and rewarding. It has been a pretty normal week with various site visits across Somerset, Devon and Dorset, including a meeting with local mechanical designers of Solar Port Systems Ltd for an exciting new scheme working alongside Bridport Town Council which will deliver numerous benefits, including a reduction in air and noise pollution, making Bridport the first council in Dorset to go green.  This week has also seen the submission of an application for planning permission and listed building consent for a Grade II farmhouse in Wellington, as well as a Building Regulations application in Frome. A week of highlights, we have a new addition to our team – Adrienne Mathias has joined us to write heritage statements.  Her background in Symonds & Sampson Property Management team means that she is familiar with buildings of different periods and construction and she is currently completing her MSC in Conservation and Management of Historic Buildings at the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester.  She is shadowing the other members of the team until the end of the month when she completes her dissertation.   The other highlights include outings to new commissions in Bridport and Broadwindsor with Jon Waterhouse, […]
