During my visit to Prague Castle I happened upon some road works to a very well used cobbled pedestrian thoroughfare. The work involved repairing/ replacing services in a hole cordoned off with barriers and reinstatement of the cobbles.
I expected there to be a different work ethic from the UK but even within a World Heritage Site the attitude is universal. 5 men were watching one man work. Why is this such a common situation and how is it possible to waste public funds in this way?
