This weekend was spent reminiscing working on all those central London statues and monuments for the Department of National Heritage and exploring the cool interiors of art galleries.
Highlight of the trip was the Peacock Room in the James McNeill Whistler Exhibition at Tate Britain, a very common story, an Architect is appointed, in this case Richard Norman Shaw who delegates the work to Thomas Jeckyll who then falls ill and it is completed by Whistler who reimagined the room without the Client’s approval.
