A few exciting updates. I have been invited to work on two potential new projects, one on the border between South Somerset and West Dorset and the other in Cattistock.
It is always a complete mystery how these charming clients find me as I am certain it is not through this website. On the other hand, more than nine of my listed building applications at the pre-planning and planning stages, are moving at a glacial pace.
Frustratingly the planning system is very unlikely to change before I retire at the end of summer 2027. By then I will have spent 40 years in professional practise. Only during the last 10 years it has become very difficult for building owners to obtain the necessary approvals without considerable expense on consultants’ fees and emotional upheaval.
