Interestingly since I have announced my retirement at the end of the year I have received more enquiries than ever before and I am guessing this is because everyone knows about the proposed changes to the Local Plan and the NPPF in December and want to be ahead of the curve. My plan is slowly unravelling as I just can’t say no to beautiful and challenging projects and their equally delightful clients.
There are those who have an informal chat with me and then I hear no more until 6 months later and there are those who want work done yesterday. Most clients are more than reasonable considering that applications can be ‘stuck’ in planning for a year. I won’t miss those but I will miss working with the absolutely brilliant conservation officer for my patch.
