A fruitful week with two new clients asking for specialist advice on their unlisted, but locally important buildings in conservation areas in Dorset. These are commonly referred to as non-designated heritage assets.

The building types are diverse, one a thatched cottage, the other one a former primitive chapel. We are moving forward slowly on projects on site waiting for the better weather to lay foundations, and for 10 of our current applications to be processed by various planning authorities.

One application for listed building consent was approved this week for a farmhouse in Holditch, the next step is to obtain Building Regulations approval for this one and two other projects in Netherbury and Bridport.
