The run up to Christmas is always a busy time – juggling the existing projects with the avalanche of new enquiries. There is no rhyme or reason why they all come at once and at this time of year, but it is frustrating that I always seem to be surveying in the snow and sub zero temperatures. The other aspect of this time of year means that I can’t carry out site inspections until 8am or after 4pm. Many projects on site were subject to storm damage last weekend and this is a big worry where trees, not previously known to be vulnerable, have fallen.
Lots of buildings under scaffolding, about to be taken down for the big reveal of new rainwater goods, windows, repointed chimneys. Another client is taking possession of a new kitchen for Christmas Day. No pressure!
