This week was spent surveying, in the fog, and doing some detective work which is quite normal for determining the history of buildings.

Working on new projects is always fun, learning as much about how the building functioned and how it has evolved. This photo illustrates one which has changed almost beyond recognition and has a completely different appearance now. Fashion dictated changes to fenestration, with large sash windows, flat roof projecting porches and bay windows with castellations, all of which denoted wealth and opulence.
