As fast as one building project is complete, another begins and it has been like this for as long as I can remember without a break regardless of recessions or the Pandemic. It is a pleasure to be given the responsibility for designing chimney pieces, kitchens, furniture, internal joinery and finding the most appropriate finishes and specialists that work for my clients.
The most recent achievement is the being asked to produce the working drawings for a scheme I gained consent for in August 2022. Many projects languish until the deadline looms – planning permission is only valid for 3 years.
More people are phasing their works so that they can spread the cost and avoid too much disruption. Often the works are accelerated to coincide with changing circumstances including the arrival of a new baby.
