It is actually quite liberating to have made a decision to not take on any more planning work. Like so many others I know I am voting with my feet and moving towards a more rewarding position as a historic buildings consultant providing advice, overseeing repairs and building work which does not need listed building consent or Building Regulations approval. After 38 years of work I am proud of what I have achieved and been fortunate to work on some great projects and met some wonderful people in the industry.
