The projects which take the longest are the most rewarding. Some are very long in the gestation period, all are stuck in planning for aeons. Those delays can be endured but when a project has consent, has building regulations approval, has been accurately costed by a contractor and then never goes ahead, how do we feel? Disappointed with unanswered questions.

Why did the client invest all that time and money only to stop the work? This has happened to me 3 times now and there is no rhyme or reason. It is hard to appreciate how much we invest of ourselves and yet that bespoke piece of work – an extension, alterations or completed remodeling of the interior of a house just stops. It is outside my control and reluctantly I have to let it go.
