Much of what I do is not strictly in the Architect’s job description, by that I mean working beyond and outside the planning remit, representing private clients in a court judgement or order where works have failed on site.
This might be the most interesting part of my work as it requires tenacity and the determination of a detective, to delve into areas that would not on the face of it appear relevant or related. Perhaps this is where my greatest job satisfaction lies in achieving success when objecting to large scale development sites in historic areas.
