Today saw the worst possible weather conditions although work was progressing well inside the house under it’s temporary roof and wrapped to protect works to windows, brickwork, roof coverings and rainwater goods. There is a small ‘bat’ window between mid December and early March to strip the roof and reinstate the slates before the pipistrelles return.
This was the nail biting bit to get the roof weather tight before Christmas so works can continue regardless of wind and rain. Certainly good progress can be made now the scaffolders have left site.
